The driver of a truck has tragically been killed in an accident in North Carolina. He was driving a propane truck that was hit by a smaller car. The accident caused the truck to leave the road, flip over on its side and catch on fire. Pictures from the scene show a massive blaze that engulfed the entire vehicle.
According to the authorities, the driver who caused the accident was behind the wheel of the car, and he did not stop when he came to a stop sign; instead, he ran through it and plowing into the propane truck. Additionally, he was driving even though his license had been suspended.
Though that driver is in the hospital getting treatment for serious injuries, the police have already announced charges for driving with the license suspension and a misdemeanor for causing death with a motor vehicle. As of the last reports, the driver is in Duke Hospital.
The accident was reported to the authorities right around 6:30 in the morning, back on Tuesday, Sept. 22. It happened on NC-86, out by Sawmill Road, and the whole road had to be closed down so that the emergency crews could respond and put out the fire.
When a loved one is killed in a car accident, family members know that financial compensation is no replacement for that person, but it's also realistic and necessary to think about the financial impact.
